The Brief for this job was
“build a climbing wall.”
While meeting all NZ Safety Standards we designed and built a fantastic, huge, 3m high wall in the shape of a “T”.
We did this by using 135/135 H5 Laminated posts, 100/50 H3.2 MG rails with Treated Plywood glued and screwed onto the frame.
To help stop children from falling off the top we put 200/50 MG H3.2 at a steep pitch as a top ridge making it uncomfortable to sit on.
The entire structure was then coated in a thick layer of CD50 to waterproof against rain finding its way through any small cracks.
Over 150 Rock hold fixtures were used in this build.
The surrounding area is 350mm thick with Cushion Fall to help against any injury when falling.
